Netmotion Wireless Issues Statement Regarding Trial Verdict
Seattle, WA—March 29, 2006— NetMotion Wireless, the industry leader among mobile VPN solution providers, announced today that a jury in the United States District Court of Delaware found its Mobility product infringes on specific patent claims of two patents held by Padcom, Inc. In response to this finding, and to meet its customers' needs, the company is developing a new version of its product which will not infringe on these patents. This new version will be available for download at no charge to all customers within the next 30 days.
"We respect the jury and the court, but we disagree with these findings and plan to pursue post-trial motions and appeal at our earliest opportunity," said Bob Hunsberger, CEO of NetMotion Wireless. "In the meantime, we look forward to quickly providing a version which continues to meet our customers' needs and will not infringe on these patents."
